Acupuncture is a system of healing which has been practised in China and other Eastern countries for thousands of years. Although often described as a means of pain relief, it is in fact used to treat people with a wide range of illnesses. Its focus is on improving the overall wellbeing of the patient, rather than the isolated treatment of specific symptoms.

Acupuncture is used both to treat specific symptoms and illnesses and as a preventative treatment as it boosts the body's immune system.

Acupuncturists use fine needles inserted at specific points on the body to stimulate the body's own healing response and restore its natural balance.

Brooke has been practising acupuncture and complimentary medicine for 21 years, and is currently working from two clinics in Bath (Bath Natural Health Clinic and Oldfield Osteopathic Clinic), and two locations in Bradford on Avon (Green Tree Health and St Margarets Surgery).

Acupuncture has been used to treat many medical problems, but is particularly useful for pain. It can help with joint pains, muscular pains, migraine, and even period pains. It has also been used to treat problems such as sinusitis, hayfever, irritable bowel, and nausea.
