With over eight years experience as an acupuncturist and twenty one years in the field of complementary medicine, Brooke brings a wide range of skills and knowledge to his clinical practice.
Brooke trained at the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. He practices the two most common styles of acupuncture in the UK, Traditional Chinese Acupuncture (TCM) and Five Element.
Traditional Chinese Acupuncture (TCM) treats medical problems, such as migraine and lower back pain.
Five Element Acupuncture treats the emotional and psychological aspects of the person.
Practised together, both styles can bring about a higher level of well being physically, psychologically and emotionally.
Brooke has also achieved recognition in both Western and Eastern Massage and holds a Diploma in Advanced Therapeutic Massage & Advanced Remedial Massage in Malaysian Massage.
Brooke offers the treatments on this site as standalone treatments or can provide a combination to suit needs.
Brooke worked with the Older Peoples Unit at the Royal United Hospital, Bath between 2001 and 2007, using acupuncture to treat Parkinson's Disease patients. Changes in symptoms and quality of life factors in Parkinson’s sufferers were measured.
The study was funded by the Parkinson’s Disease Society, and results should be known in 2009.
Brooke works at two surgeries and two complementary centres in Bath and Bradford on Avon.
