‘Acupuncture...best therapy for back pain’ (Headline from Daily Telegraph, September 26th 2007)

German researchers reported acupuncture can provide significantly more relief from lower back pain than physiotherapy, medication or exercise. Improvements were significant and lasted long after completion of the course of treatment.

Acupuncture has a long history of treating back problems, with the first written records dating back 2000 years. Today, acupuncture is used alongside conventional medicine in Chinese hospitals for the treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.

In the West, acupuncture is gaining acceptance as the first treatment of choice for acute and chronic back pain.
